WHAT I WORE…
When it came to packing, I tried to outfit prep as much as possible. For a winter trip, I normally start with the coats and shoes I’m planning on bringing, then considering which more “statement” pieces I am excited to style. Weather and how much exploration/walking is always a consideration. A shop-til-you-drop solo day was calling for a comfy Freda loafer sitch, but jumping in a cab for dinner or lunch at L’Avenue and luxury browsing on Avenue Montaigne may permit a fabulously uncomfortable option. Next, two to three go-to bags (two day, one night).
Other MVPs included this chic east west cream Freja bag that fits so much, my Stuart Weitzman 50/50s and I think I wore a Jcrew cashmere sweater every day. I had fun with jewelry, scarves, hats, and tights to make every outfit more me and more interesting. I never travel without my go-to white tees or Intimissimi cashmere base layers. And generally played around with a relatively cohesive color story…
THURSDAY: solo shopping day. one outfit that could do it all.
FRIDAY: luxe shopping AM, late lunch at Chez Janou, &&& vday din. we love a three outfit change kind of day.
SATURDAY: exploration day. fancy din & drinks.
SUNDAY: heading out to the countryside!
Also, when traveling to France, I usually go very light on the skincare because I love to raid the pharmacies. However, I did not travel without my new favorite do-it-all Furtuna Skin serum (I love that it’s both for face & eyes and honestly my skin hasn’t looked better in a minute!!). My skin can get irritated when traveling, so I’ve been loving this facile clear targeted serum for getting rid of spots (also for the same reason I have these COSRX acne patches in every cosmetic bag). Oh and for the red eye or trouble adjusting to the timezone in such a short time, I’ve been LOVING these AGENT NATEUR Calm Supplements (they are like sleepy girl tart cherry mocktails in little daily use packets!! & work like a charm). I stocked up on all these travel size goodies at Dermstore — AND you can use code STRICTLY for 15% off select items in your order!! They have the best curation of clean beauty and skincare.
