First off and most importantly, it feels so strange to just carry on with regularly scheduled programming after last week’s devastating tragedy in LA. It is truly unimaginable and there are simply no words to express both the sadness and love I feel for LA. I am heartbroken that such slices of paradise, filled with memories, laughter, livelihood, and light have been reduced to rubble. I’m sending all my love to the many who have lost everything in the fires and wanted to share a few organizations I’ve donated to, in case you are able to as well: Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, Baby2Baby, World Central Kitchen, and Giving Generously. Please do continue to reach out if you or a loved one have been affected, I would love to support you in any way I can. has also curated a great list including GoFundMe’s and helpful other centralized resources! Love you all so much <3
Ok, here we go…
Too many strict places to go, never enough PTO. Here are the top 12 places on my Hotel Hit List for 2025…common themes include aesthetically pleasing umbrellas, patterned wallpaper, and ability to be mistaken for a Wes Anderson set. From the Swiss Alps to the French Rivera to Rome, I’m swooning over these…
Villa Palladio — Jaipur, India: Oh my goodness. This pink palace of perfection (say that three times fast) has been living rent free in my mind since I first saw it. I am going to a wedding of a dear friend in India this December and boy do I know where I want to stay. I can’t wait to wake up in my fully pink bedroom, bask on my pink chair, and sip on a cocktail in the pink restaurant. I am so excited to explore more of the country and pick up as many block prints as I possibly can fit in my suitcase.
Tuba Club — Marseille, France: I SIMPLY MUST BE TRANSPORTED TO A SUNNY SUNNY DAY BASKING HERE with absolutely nothing to do but look at how the water sparkles. This new spot is where all the cool trendy artist types go to chat and hang by the water, a little off the beaten path of classic SoF spots. They have just a few rooms and they’re honestly decently affordable! Good for a long lunch or lay, but I’ll be staying the night.
Estelle Manor — The Cotswolds, England: Ok big DUH. But for real this year, I am going. The English Countryside is truly one of my most favorite little slices of heaven and I can’t wait to finally greet these perfect striped umbrellas with my own eyes. I love adding on an extra day to my London trips to hop on the train and enjoy a relaxing day in the country, reading a book by the pool, and hearing the birds chirp. It is literally so magical, and this is THE place to do it.
Palazzo Talia — Rome, Italy: Going back to one of my favorite cities in the world — Rome — this August (yeah I know I am going to die of heat.) and I’ve been very intrigued by Palazzo Talia since it opened. It’s gorgeously decorated by the director of Call Me By Your Name — BUT I’ve heard mixed reviews about the service, so I may stay here instead…
Casa Monti — Rome, Italy: All the details are so good here. I feel like I must go to report back…for Science. But if you beat me there, please LMK. I am just such a sucker for a perfectly-designed-well priced-hotel (and wallpaper that matches the headboard). Oh and if you need Rome recs, I have the perfect 36 hr guide for you.
Hotel Bella Grande — Copenhagen, Denmark: Oh how I love Copenhagen. It may be time for a return, to eat lots of whipped butter, sip natural wine, and see what all the cool girls (and boys) are wearing. Full Cope guide here btw. But this hotel just may be the reason I make the trip!! They had me at maroon striped bathroom and generally seemingly incredibly pink everything?? Buzzy fun cocktail bar and restaurant in the center of the hotel and a perfect location!!
